"As a native of Louisiana, I can honestly say that the
food at Le Krewe is about as authentic as it gets outside the Big Easy. The
portions are ample and the prices are reasonable. The food, along with the
upbeat Zydeco music playing in the background and the cheerful Mardi Gras
bead-clad wait staff, always made for a good time at this hidden gem in San
Francisco's Mission District"
"The food was excellent and the service very good. The
Tapas (Cajun-Asian, of all things) are really good, particularly the Crawfish
Etoufféé. The gumbo is to-die for. They also accommodate vegetarians very
nicely. The decor is charming. The only negative thing is that they DON'T have
Louisiana Green Hot Sauce!!! If they ordered a big old shipment, they'd be in
business and this expatriate French Creole would be very happy".
"I was thoroughly impressed with everything about Le Krewe! It is so fun and lively, you even get free Mardi Gras beads! The food was awesome! I had the BEST crab cakes ever, and the Creole potstickers were so good - and they were filled with ALLIGATOR meat!! We also had the freshest oysters - I never even liked oysters until now! The Cajun music and indoor Oak tree really added to the fun setting. You've got to try this one! Bring your friends so that you can try more food."
