About Us

David Tsang cookbook all that sizzles imageWe have over 30 years of experience in the formulation, production, marketing and distribution of authentic Asian, Pan-Asian and Fusion sauces, seasonings and Asian foods. Our prepared Asian food program for Supermarket Deli's, Restaurants, Universities and Corporate Cafeterias is being used in hundreds of eating establishments nationwide. We custom formulate sauces and seasonings for restaurant chains, supermarket retailers and food and sauce manufacturers. Our goal is to provide easy-to-use premium world flavors, recipes and innovative ideas for the foodservice industry.


Chefs David Tsang and Cheryl Tsang imageDavid Tsang and Cheryl Tsang are the creators and founders of House of Tsang®, Oriental Deli®, Starport Foods®, Global Select Foods and Le Krewe Restaurant and Oyster Bar.
David is a renowned chef, specialty food producer, and restaurateur. David has appeared on television and radio shows, in TV commercials, taught cooking classes and is the author of "All That Sizzles" cookbook. David and Cheryl have five kids and live in Southern California.

House of Tsang products include pre-cooked frozen appetizers, entrĂ©es and instant cup-a-soups. Oriental Deli®, an Asian turn-key deli program, provides supermarket operators with the operational tools needed to run a profitable Asian take-out deli. The Oriental Deli program features kitchen design, menu and recipe development, software for recipe development and profit and loss calculation, and cook training.
House of Tsang® and Oriental Deli were both sold to Hormel Foods® in 1992.


Lekrewe Restaurant Logo ImageLe Krewe Restaurant and Oyster Bar was developed and operated by David Tsang and Cheryl Tsang in San Francisco's Mission District, serving Fusion Cajun Creole cuisine in a festive Mardi Gras setting. The restaurant offered Mardi Gras beads and masks for the guests and lively Zydeco music.

Starport's products help Chefs save time and labor, offering consistent Asian and Fusion sauces and seasonings for consistent regional flavor profiles. Starport has national and international distribution.

Starport’s customers include: Sysco, US Foods, Sodexo and Entegra (Starport is a CONTRACTED Sodexo vendor), Wegmans, Fishers Foods, Peppermill Casinos, Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort, Universities, Hospitals, Max's of Manila Restaurant chain (with custom formulation) and others.
Menu shown was developed for Pizza Hut® by David Tsang under House of Tsang® brand.


Global Select Foods logo Global Select Foods provides sales and marketing consultation to foreign food manufacturers and government agencies seeking entry into U.S. food markets.

David Tsang is a Member of Institute of Food Technologist since 1988 and an Advisory Board Member in the Department of Hospitality Management at San Francisco State University's College of Business. David's prior management position was the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center Operations Manager at Stanford University.

Cheryl Tsang is active in the Southern California business community and served on the executive board for the Asian Business Association of Orange County as the Treasurer, Secretary, Board Member and Logistics Chair. Cheryl was a Graphic Designer and Advertising Executive and was a painter for Nordstrom.
