Starport Foods has over 30 years of experience, providing unique Asian and Fusion sauces and seasonings to the food industry. Our experience has produced hundreds of products from dried seasonings, batters, soup bases, cup-a-soup, flavored oils, sauces, savory rubs and frozen entrées.
Formulation and Packaging
Our major clients for private label are supermarket chains, restaurant chains and food manufacturers.
Packaging is available for Supermarket retailers in retail size 12 fl. oz. glass bottles. For restaurant chains, sauce may be packed in gallon or half gallon plastic jugs or 5 gallons pails. We also pack in 55 gallon drums for food manufacturers.
We provide quick turn around time for private label using our existing formulations. Custom formulation varies from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the complexity of the products and label design and printing.
The minimum quantity is 1,000 gallons per sauce, which produces: 18 each – 55 gallon drums, 200 – 5 gallon pails, 250 cases – 1 gallon at 4 per case – 880 cases of 12 oz. glass bottles at 12 per case. (Plus or minus 10%)

What are the costs for private label?
The product cost for existing Starport Foods flavors are about 15%-20% less than our list price. There are extra costs for label design and printing, lab time and certifications, samples and freight. These costs are best discussed individually.

Will you develop recipes?
We can develop or modify recipes for qualified clients at low or no cost. For example, we can scale up recipes for an Asian Buffet or for seasonal menu changes.

Can you turn our restaurant recipes into production-quality formulas?
We have years of experience making custom sauce blends. We will sign a non-disclosure agreement and can convert your in-house recipes to high-quality, shelf-stable products. This will ensure flavor consistency, which is especially important for multi-unit restaurants.
Private labeling your sauces will help your operation improve their bottom line by saving time, ingredient inventory and labor, but most importantly, it will ensure flavor consistency. We have many national multi-unit restaurant chains that we private label for.
Do you provide samples?
We provide samples to qualified clients, such as Distributors, Chefs, Food and Beverage Buyers, food manufacturers and importers. However, we request Importers to pre-pay freight cost for the sample.
Samples are packed in 2 oz. plastic jars.
